Below is a guide to our accreditations, and why we have them:
This regulation specifies requirements for quality management systems where an organisation a) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and b) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are implemented to ensure that our customers consistently receive the highest quality of products and services.
This regulation sets out the criteria for an environmental management. It maps out a framework that a company or organisation can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. It provides assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved. Here at Pearce Signs we take environmental impact very seriously and we are proud to meet the criteria for this regulation.
This regulation is a framework for an occupational health and safety (ohs) management system, and puts in place the policies, procedures and controls needed for an organisation to achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety, aligned to internationally recognised best practice. Meeting the criteria for this regulation is something we are very serious about, enabling us to provide the very best working environment for our staff.
The Approved Contractor scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671. As an NICEIC Approved Contractor, our Pearce Electrical division are assessed to the highest standards covering all types of electrical contractors and installations, including electricians working on commercial and industrial installations, such as commercial signage.
Under the CDM Regulations 2015, there is a requirement for anybody who is employing or engaging a supplier to carry out construction work, to take reasonable steps to ensure they have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the role, or if they are an organisation, the organisational capability. Here at Pearce Signs, we are proud to say that we have taken these steps, and therefore meet these requirements.
The SafeContractor scheme provides a health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites. Pearce Signs is a member of The SafeContractor scheme, as health and safety is crucial in every case we work on.
ConstructionLine is a Government-run scheme, which collects, assesses and monitors standard company information, and is the largest pre-qualification database in the UK and the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management service. The information they gather is used to pre-qualify a company. ConstructionLine is used by a lot of larger organisations like the NHS and local councils to pre-qualify a business and their ability to carry out a project. Pearce Signs is a member of ConstructionLine, so our customers can have confidence in our ability to work on their signage.
The International Sign Association (ISA) is devoted to supporting, promoting and improving the sign industry through government advocacy, education and training programs, technical resources, stakeholder outreach and industry networking events. Members are manufacturers, users and suppliers of on-premise signs and other visual communications systems. Pearce Signs are a proud member of the ISA, as we want to play our role in improving the signage industry.
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. Pearce Signs is a member of The CHAS scheme, as health and safety is an important part of our day to day process.
Safety Management Advisory Services
SMAS is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and they are an H&S Assessment organisation. This accreditation allows companies such as Pearce Signs to quickly and confidently demonstrate health and safety competence to clients.
Avetta is a global provider of services to organisations that engage contractors and suppliers. It is a safety-based company that assists organisations develop and maintain a web-based prequalification system for managing contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Pearce Signs are happy to say that we are registered with Avetta, giving customers peace of mind in our ability as a service provider.
